Large Clear Quartz Crystal Skull on Natural Point

This is a large clear quartz crystal skull carved into the base of a single natural quartz point. The point is left standing above the face, so you get a carved skull and a raw crystal termination together in one piece.

The quartz is high-quality and transparent, with enough clarity to see well into the stone. Inside there are phantom lines that echo the shape of the point, internal mirrors where old fractures catch the light, and soft misty veils drifting through the body. It also has a few lodolite inclusions.

Two of the natural crystal facets have been left intact rather than polished away. One of those faces still shows Lemurian striations, the fine horizontal ladder lines that run across the surface. The tip of the point is crowned with a large rainbow that flares when light hits from the right angle.

The skull itself is carved cleanly at the front, with rounded eye sockets, a defined nose and a simple jawline. The polish is smooth and even across the carved areas, which lets the transparency show clearly through the face.

Transparent quartz like this almost always looks better in person than on camera. The rainbow, the phantom lines and the inner veils are much easier to see when you can turn the piece in natural light and see it up close.

Clear quartz is one of the most versatile stones to work with and is often associated with clarity, focus and amplification. The phantom lines add a layer many people connect with inner growth and working through stages, while the lodolite and the raw point lend it a grounded, earthy quality. The Lemurian striations carry their own tradition, often linked with meditation and inner wisdom. None of this is forced onto the piece. The features are simply there to work with if that is how you use your skulls.

Compared with a fully carved clear quartz skull, where the whole stone is shaped into a head, this one keeps part of the raw crystal intact, so it reads as both a carving and a natural point. That makes it a good fit for collectors who like some untouched crystal alongside the carved work, and for anyone who wants a larger display or meditation piece with a lot of internal detail. At just over two kilos, it has real weight and stature in the hand. The quartz was sourced from a local mine here in Minas Gerais and carved in Brazil.
